The Propulse 500 is usually operated in walkup mode with queued sample submission in the Walkup Queue. For walkup mode, samples can be submitted at any time. Reservations are usually not needed. For more information see the item The Walkup Queue in this heading. Note at present the sample changer does not function. You must manually insert and remove your sample.
The Propulse 500 can be reserved on the ILab Calendar for multiple hours or days. A reservation guarantees exclusive access and warns other users that the instrument will be unavailable for walkup use. Advise the director with an email for reservations, Monday to Friday during the day. Such a request may be denied if walkup usage is expected to be heavy.
There is no charge to use the Ilab calendar and there is no penalty to be a no-show other than the irritation of your colleagues, but please keep your reservations up to date. Ignore the information about cost on the reservation form. Usage during the reservation period will be charged in the usual manner. See the Rates tab.
