The Avance III 600 is usually operated for long periods with manual sample submission and advance reservations are strongly recommended. Usage is arranged by mutual agreement among the user groups. Do not depend on the calendar. Consider an email broadcasting your intended use before scheduling. Short walkup runs may be possible without a reservation.
The Avance 600 should be reserved on the ILab Calendar when reservations are for multiple hours or days. A reservation guarantees exclusive access and warns other users that the instrument will be unavailable for walkup use. ILab Calendar reservations can be made for any time period and have priority over possible walkup use.
There is no charge to use the ILab calendar and there is no penalty to be a no-show other than the irritation of your colleagues, but please keep your reservations up to date. Ignore the information about cost on the reservation form. Usage during the reservation period will be charged in the usual manner. See the Rates tab.
